Get to know us
The goalie school based out of Northumberland and Eastern Ontario was founded by two brothers with over 20 years of experience playing goalie at high levels, from AAA hockey to the OJHL and NCAA. Their expertise and passion for the position has led them to create a school dedicated to developing and honing the skills of aspiring goalies. With a deep understanding of the demands and nuances of the position, they are able to provide valuable insights and training to help goalies reach their full potential. Through their school, they aim to not only teach the technical aspects of goaltending, but also instill the discipline, mental toughness, and strategic mindset needed to succeed on the ice. Their goal is to produce confident and well-rounded goalies who are ready to excel at any level of the game.

Stefano Durante
Founder / Lead Instructor
Hi, my name is Stefano Durante. I am the co-owner of Durante Goaltending and a Head Instructor at the SD30 Goaltending Development Camp. Hockey has been my true passion since the earliest of ages and fell in love with the position of goaltending early on. My hockey career helped me do things I never thought were possible and allowed me to help other athletes along the way. I played Minor Hockey at the AAA level in Brampton, Halton Hills, and York Simcoe. I was never drafted to the OHL. After minor hockey, I was fortunate enough to earn a spot with the Cobourg Cougars in the OJHL and was proud to call Cobourg home for 3 years. During my time in Cobourg, it was an honor to hoist the RBC cup over my head winning the National Championship in 2017 against the Brooks Bandits and Cale Makar. While along the way winning the OJHL Goalie of the Year twice, and winning the OJHL Humanitarian of the Year award in 2016 for my community service work. After playing in the OJHL I continued my hockey career at American International College in Springfield, MA playing NCAA Division 1 hockey on a scholarship. During my time at AIC, I was able to help turn a program that had never won a Playoff series, into a program that when I graduated had won 3 Atlantic Hockey Conference Championships and had 2 NCAA Tournament Bids. I won the Atlantic Hockey Conference Goalie of the Year Award in my Senior Year and was on the Mike Richter award watch list as the best goalie in the country. I graduated in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. After AIC I turned pro playing in the SPHL with the Fayetteville Marksmen. I retired and I am currently the Toronto Maple Leafs Practice goalie. This year I was an assistant coach with the Aurora Tigers in the OJHL to start my coaching path in hockey. I believe goaltending is the hardest position in sport and having played goalie for over 20 years and teaching for the last 10, I know the pressure that comes with it. I want to help the next generation of goalies fulfill their dreams and help them reach their full potential to be able to achieve all their dreams of this great sport!
